The Events Committee
presented the Events Calendar for 2018 at the Association meeting on Monday,
January 26th. It fully fulfills the part of our Mission Statement that
states: "We, all
volunteers, want to promote patriotism and to provide recognition to veterans of all U. S.
Military Forces, past, present, and future."

At 2 p.m. on 4/28 Carroll
County lost more of its sons during the War Between the States than in ALL WARS
since! Those who gave all will be
honored
At 10:30 a.m. on 5/26 -
The Carroll County Symphony will begin playing – At 11:00 Historian/Actor David
Shuey will be returning and will speak “in the first person” as General John
Pershing speaking about events around and after the Armistice of WWI.
At 11:00 a.m. on 6/9, the SAR and DAR will lead in a formal
Flag Retirement Service demonstrating the history and proper reverence for our
Nations Colors.
At 11:00 a.m. on September
8, American Legion Post 143 will coordinate with all First Responders unites in
the County in conducting a service remembering the terrorist attack on our
country on September 11, 2001.
At 11:00 a.m. on November
10 we will honor ALL Veterans with special emphasis on those who served Desert
Storm and Desert Storm (1990 – 1999) – With emphasis on KIA’s from Carroll.
At 12:00 a.m. on December
16 the Military Officers Association of America will conduct a service of the
Laying of the Wreaths
