GRANT RECEIVED FROM CARROLL EMC FOUNDATION

This is a happy group of men holding their “big” checks from the Carroll EMC Foundation. On the left is Ronnie Pate with the check for the American Legion Post 143; to his right is President of the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park, Don Levans with a check for the Park; Dr. Timothy Ayers and Director Ethan Sailers from the Carrollton Evening Sertoma Club are holding their grant check.

The CCVMP received $2,400 which is specifically for construction of six new Walls of Honor which will be added to the Park hopefully before the end of this year.  $6,300 is needed for this project and this will definitely help!  Other grants and donations are needed and hopefully will be received by Veteran’s Day and Construction can begin immediately following our Veteran’s Day service. The service this year will be at 10 A.M. on November 8th at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park and it will be especially honoring our WWII Veterans.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Don Levans said, “It is always a pleasure to meet at the EMC along with the dozens of other Non-Profits for the honor of receiving this needed grant money and getting to associate with the leaders of so many other groups. We always learn something and come away with more "connections" with other organizations.”
