Confederate Memorial Day Event

Saturday April 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the 
Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park
The speaker will be the Founder of 
McDaniel Curtis Camp 165 – 
Sam Pyle
195 were killed in Action during this bloody conflict – 
More than in ALL wars since – 
They will be honored and remembered with musket 
and cannon fire and a wreath will be laid.

A new KIA Feature in the Park will be dedicated 
calling attention to the 332 from Carroll County 
killed in all wars since the Revolution.

USMC BAND CONCERT APRIL 9, 2018

JUST AMAZING – MARINE CORPS BAND NEW ORLEANS - Presented their Spring Concert Band program with Band Officer, Chief Warrant Officer 2 DeMarius Jackson and Gunnery Sergeant Justin Hauser conducting. Absolutely wonderful program! Wonderful presentation: Concert Band, The Star-Spangled Banner, The Klaxon, America the Beautiful, Bourbon Street Parade, Australian Up-Country Tune, Yankee Doodle, Eternal Father, Strong to Save, Taps, Apotheosis, Marines’ Hymn Stand By Me/Beautiful Girl, 3 AM Bounce, Saints, etc.



 Chief Warrant Officer 2 DeMarius Jackson, DAR Honorary Regent Abraham Baldwin Chapter Violette Denney, and Gunnery Sergeant Justin Hause.  Violette is also a member of the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park and previous board member.






Thank you Don Levans for handling the tickets - it was a great concert and it is a shame that all the seats were not filled.  I was fortunate to be at the right spot at the right time to get the picture with the conductors.  Thank you DeMarcius Jackson and Justin Houser.
