On Saturday, May 27, 2017, beginning at 10:30 A.M. at the Carroll County
Veterans Memorial Park. The Guest speaker will be David Shuey (History Teller
Productions, Newville, PA) appearing as General Pershing and he will deliver a
speech about the U.S. entrance into the Great War on April 6, 1917.
22 young soldiers from Carroll County that died in service during the war
will be remembered with the tolling of the Park Bell, Rifles will be fired, Taps
played, a wreath will be laid, and the Carroll County Symphony Wind Ensemble
will play period songs with vocals by the Camerata A-Cappella Ensemble beginning
at 10:30 A. M. with the program at 11:00 A.M.
