The great NEW Center for the Performing Arts on Old Newnan Road called me and asked if I could help distribute FREE Tickets to this great opportunity to (1) See the new facility and (2) experience this first class Marine Band.

CCVMP Association members can call Don Levans 678-246-8336 and arrange to pick up the tickets --- The only cost is that you make absolutely sure that the tickets are used because the chair will be empty if YOU don't show.

Saturday May 26 10:30am at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park

Guest Speaker – David Shuey (History Teller Productions, Newville, PA) appearing as General Pershing will be returning “by popular demand”.  This year he will deliver a speech about the ending of the Great War Nov. 11, 1918.  Check his website ------- www.history teller.us

Twenty two young soldiers from Carroll County that died in service during the war will be remembered. --- A new MIA feature in the park will be dedicated --- A NEW WWI Records program will be announced ---- Rifles will be fired – Taps played --- a wreath will be laid – the Flag  pledged – The National Anthem will be sung and the Carroll County Symphony wind ensemble will play period tunes  beginning at 10:30 with program at 11:00am.
