EMC GRANT RECEIVED AND APPRECIATED!

Donald Levans said, “Just wanted you to know that Wayne Driver, Bill and I picked up a check for $2,500 on Thursday from a Round-up Grant program at EMC (If you don't ROUND- UP ON YOUR POWER BILL - PLEASE GET THAT DONE!)

The request for the grant was to help pay for the purchase and installation of 6 new lights and light poles to illuminate the 6 six new walls. (This pictures shows the placement of two of them) - In addition to this grant, EMC ordered the lighting and sold it to us at their cost.  - This is county Partnership at its best --- and YES, I LOVE ROUNDUP.”

Please note the new wall have been painted and blend in with the first Walls of Honor.  Great way to honor our veterans!

NEW PICTURES OF THE PARK SHOWING PROGRESS BEING MADE

Wendell Furr is finished for today - too warm to paint!

Wendell Furr made the pavilion look so much better!

It is great to see the flag flying over the Park honoring our veterans!  I (Violette Denney) visited the Park today to see if the correction had been made on one of the last bricks installed – the number one was left off the date.  It was a good time to visit since Wendell Furr of Temple, GA, was finished for the day  and getting ready to leave.  He has been working on the Pavilion, Bell Tower and the new Walls of Honor.  He is not finished but they all look so much better.  It is exciting to see the Park spruced up and looking its best to honor our veterans and troops.
