Pre-registration for CCGS Workshop

March 9th, 2014
WHAT DID GRANDPA DO IN THE WAR? Have you ever wondered what your parents and or grandparents did during any of the wars fought by American soldiers? The Carroll County Genealogical Society is hosting a free Workshop on March 22, 2014 to introduce attendentees to methods and materials involving military history research. Workshop presenters will be members from the Carroll County Genealogical Society, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, American Legion Post 143, Abraham Baldwin Chapter NSDAR, and the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park.
Pre-registration is so important to ensure that sufficient materials and space are provided. Please register by sending an email to ccgsga76@gmail.com stating that you will be attending. Thanks in advance for your registration.
Workshop Details:
Keynote Speaker: Robert (Bob) Scott Davis, Director of the Genealogy Program of Wallace State Community College, Hanceville, Alabama. Keynote session begins at 9:00.
Breakout Sessions: 1. Revolutionary War and War of 1812 Search; 2. Civil War and Mexican War Search; 3. WW I and II Search; 4. Online Search
Closing session: To be held at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park
When: Saturday, March 22, 2014; 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
On site Registration: 8:30 AM
