VETERAN'S DAY PROGRAM AT THE PARK


On Saturday, November 9, 2013 the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park Committee will host a program to honor our veterans at the Park, beginning at 10 A.M. The featured speaker will be Gary W. Bruton.
Mr. Bruton retired from the United States Navy, Medical Service Corps in 2004 after 21 years of honorable service.  During his career, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander; he served as Chief Financial Officer, Head-Business Planning and Development, Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Materials Management, Director of Operations Management, and Quality Assurance and Analysis Inspector.
He obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Resources Management in 1989, and a Master of Science in Business in 1991, both from the Troy State University.  Mr. Burton joined the VA in February 2006 as the operations Manager, Behavioral Medicine Care Line and in September 2008 he became the Assistant to the Director for the Marion, IL VA Medical Center. In 2010 he completed the Veterans Administration Network Health Care Leadership Program and in 2012 he completed the VA National Executive Health Care Leadership Program.
Mr. Gary Bruton assumed the duties in December 2011 of Site Administrator for the Atlanta VA Medical Center’s Trinka Davis Veterans Village, Carrollton, GA.  He now resides in Villa Rica with his two daughters who attend Carrollton High School.

It takes the cooperation and resources of many patriotic citizens in our community to work with the Park committee to makes these programs a success and they are very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who contributed to honor our veterans!
